Foods and Things You Need to Avoid if You Have Mitral Valve Prolapse


These past two years after being diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse (I was diagnosed in 2015). I learned a lot of things about MVP and how to cope with it. Because MVP will sticky with us for the rest of our live.

One of the things I learned is the list of foods, beverage and things that I need to avoid to prevent or at least reduce MVP symptoms from occurring.

There are several foods that I really like that caused MVP symptoms, at first it broke my heart when I knew my favorite food triggered symptoms like palpitations.

Diagnosed With Mitral Valve Prolapse and Regurgitation

I was first diagnosed with mild Mitral Valve Prolapse with trivial regurgitation on 2015.

It was all started in March, 2015 when I started feeling my heart beat is faster that usual. Last year in 2014, I noticed the same thing for about a week but my heart beat was back to normal again after a doctor gave me a medicine to lower my blood pressure.

So, when my heart was beating faster that usual I didn’t worry much because it happened before and it goes away in about a week. So, I visited the same doctor and he gave me the same medicine.
